10am to 4pm
FREE Entry at the Village Hall
After many requests I finally hosted an exhibition of the village in Eggleston Village Hall.
On display was approximately 100 images of properties around the village, all enhanced and enlarged to A3 size. The historical photographs coverd many areas within the village from 1870 to 1960 with information boards that lead us from the early settlement through to the 20th century.
All images were professionally printed and mounted on a museum quality high density foam board.
There was a 10 minute large screen animated movie talking about some of the more interesting and unusual properties within the village, narrated by a village resident from around 1891.
The exhibition was FREE to enter and all proceeds were split between Eggleston Village Hall, Eggleston Carnival Committee and Holy Trinity Church - a much appreciated donation to help support of village services.
The exhibition may be extended and redisplayed in future.
